Audio Leaked of Jerry West Calling Lakers ‘S–t Show’ in Attempt to Sway Kawhi Leonard to Clippers

NBA legend Jerry West is not a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. West has found himself in a big trouble now, and basketball fans will never ignore this audio of him calling the Lakers a “s*** show.”

Yes, it looks like this was his way of getting Kawhi Leonard to the Clippers.

TMZ released the voicemail in which West thanks Johnny Wilkes for the great job he did not so long ago.

“Hey there, this is Jerry calling,” West said. “I really want to thank you a lot for trying to help. Heard this morning that everyone over in the Lakers camp thinks they’re gonna get him.”

He didn’t stop here.

“I just find it hard to believe that he would want to go to that s–t show where he would not even be … wouldn’t even get his name in the paper and he wouldn’t be the face of the franchise that’s for sure.”

There’s more.

“He might be the best player on the team, but hope things are well and again, I really really appreciate everything you’ve done.”

Jerry West to answer a few Lakers questions

West is an executive board member with the Clippers. Wilkes sues him because Wilkes says he helped Kawhi sign with the LA Clippers. He is suing West for breach of contract. To make things even more interesting, he is asking for $2.5 million plus damages. This is the alleged amount of money that Wilkes claims he was set to receive for his great work. In his lawsuit, Wilkes claims he met with West at Staples Center on April 10, 2019. He also claims that he is closely connected with Leonard and Dennis Robertson, Leonard’s uncle.

The Clippers superstar shut down the rumors with a few simple comments. He said, “That has nothing to do with me coming here. Out here, people try to find any way to get some money.”

We don’t really know if the whole thing ends here. Is West the man in the voicemail? If yes, he will have to answer a lot of questions. The NBA will never ignore anything like this even if it involves a big name like West.
