Bronny James’ NBA Salary & Contract Projections May Surprise Fans

Bronny James declared for the NBA Draft and had high expectations from his first contract in the big league. NBA analysts discussed various scenarios, but most of them agree that LeBron James’ son will be selected in the second round of the draft. Second-rounders don’t usually get secure contracts which is not the case of players selected in the first round. Being selected in the second round is not such a bad thing as many players have signed great deals in the last few seasons. The Washington Wizards selected Trayce Jackson-Davis using the No.57 pick and he ended up signing a deal with Golden State Warriors. The big man earned a four-year deal worth $7.6 million with $3 million in guaranteed money.

Bronny can definitely get a similar deal. Most first-rounders can’t even imagine signing a similar contract. Spotrac reported that the top pick in the draft will get a four-year deal worth $57 million. The rookie salary would go up to $12.6 million for the upcoming season.

There was a popular prediction suggesting that the Los Angeles Lakers will use their No.55 to get Bronny. It was more like a realistic expectations from basketball experts.

Bronny would get a great NBA contract

How much would Bonny get if the Lakers got him using the No.17? LeBron’s oldest son would earn $18.5 million and four-year deal. Bronny would get $3.8 million in 2024-25. The final pick of the first round of the Draft will get a four-year deal worth $12.8 million.

The Lakers didn’t get Bronny in the first round and he went undrafted. It’s interesting to note that the Lakers weren’t the only team to show interest for Bronny. The Phoenix Suns had him for a workout visit and he could’ve sign a four-year deal worth $15.2 million. The Suns had the No.22 pick, but decided to use him and get someone else.

There’s an ongoing discussion about Bronny’s current situation, but we’ll have to wait until round 2 to provide an update.
