Lakers Made Final Decision On Possible LeBron James Trade To Rival

Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and former president of basketball operations Magic Johnson were pretty sure that LeBron James is the ideal leader for the franchise. They got him to sign a deal on the first day of his free agency. LeBron became the pillar of the Lakers franchise, but now we have people saying that he will end up on the trade block.

The Phoenix Suns have been mentioned as a possible destination for the four-time NBA champion. LeBron has a player option to handle by June 29 and NBA analysts already bet on his next move. Will LeBron decline his player option? Will he go somewhere else?

Lakers won’t put LeBron on the trade block

Jovan Buha from The Athletic believes that LeBron won’t go anywhere this offseason. The Suns are definitely not an option.

“The Lakers are not trading him,” Buha said on the June 18 episode of “Buha’s Block.” “He’s not going to Phoenix, and if you’re Phoenix, why would you trade Devin Booker for LeBron James? You have Devin Booker, a franchise Cornerstone, a young All-Star, All-NBA caliber guy.

“A guy in my opinion who is a top 15 guy and has been a borderline like top 10-12 guy at various points. Why would you trade that for like a couple years of LeBron when you could have Booker for the next 7 to 10 years potentially?”

What makes the Suns a good option for LeBron? Bronny declared for the NBA Draft and his camp seems to be following an interesting tactic. LeBron’s oldest sun has worked out with Phoenix and the Lakers. That’s all. Other teams struggle to get any near him. NBA analysts noticed that Bronny has been turning down workouts from other teams, meaning he could be locked on LA and Phoenix.

“There’s a lot of Phoenix buzz right now; I’m just going to say it. And I don’t know if it’s real or not,” Simmons said on the June 16 episode of “The Bill Simmons Podcast.”
