Lakers’ LeBron James Reveals Bronny James’ ‘Complete Opposite’ Method Of Handling Critics

Bronny James grew up in the spotlight and handling critics became part of his everyday life. Well, his father had something to say about this “handling.” According to LeBron James, Bronny is not even trying to handle critics. He doesn’t let anyone get under his skin.

The Lakers selected Bronny using the 55th overall pick. His drafting caused an avalanche of reactions and a lot of fans voiced their opinion. Some claim that Bronny was drafted just because he is LeBron’s son. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka claims LeBron has nothing to do with Bronny’s drafting and head coach JJ Redick has great expectations from Bronny.

“I don’t know if people really understand Bronny,” James said, via Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “He doesn’t care. I actually care a little bit. When I came in [as a rookie], I wanted people to like me and some of the things that people were saying about me kind of bothered me early on in my career.”

Critics cannot get any near Bronny

Bronny is about to enter a new chapter in the NBA. He will play on the same team as his dad, but this won’t affect his role. Bronny has already joined the Summer League and this will our first chance to see him play alongside Lakers players.

The Lakers didn’t make any major changes in the offseason. Pelinka missed out on a few players, going against all expectations. Most of the roster remained intact and Bronny is joining forces with some of the best players in the NBA. Bronny will try to get the best of this opportunity without letting anyone switch his focus.

“He does not care about nobody. He doesn’t even listen to that stuff,” LeBron James added. “He’s like the coolest. He’s like the complete opposite of his dad. His dad will say something [to address the critics]. Bro does not care. … Everything that’s being said about him, he really does not care.”
